Annie’s Christmas Cookies

Annie’s Christmas Cookies

Christmas has always been my favorite time of year. My Family always went all out decorating and gifting to everyone we have ever known. I wanted to partake from a young age making something for all my friends to enjoy and who wouldn’t love cookies! There’s something magical about the tradition of baking Christmas cookies—the way the kitchen fills with the warm, comforting aroma of vanilla, cinnamon, and melted butter, wrapping the whole space in a blanket of nostalgia and joy. Each cookie, carefully crafted and decorated, isn’t just a treat but a heartfelt gift, a little piece of love in every bite. Between Sam’s favorite snicker doodles, Lance’s favorite oreo crumbl cookies and Emmas favorite chocolate chip cookies, (the list goes on) the anticipation is carried through every year. The joy of watching friends light up as they take their first taste, the crunch of a perfectly golden edge giving way to a soft, melt-in-your-mouth center, is as fulfilling as the season itself.

These cookies aren’t just desserts; they’re moments of happiness, a reminder of warmth and togetherness. Whether it’s a classic sugar cookie adorned with delicate icing, a rich chocolate crinkle dusted with snowy powdered sugar, or a spiced gingerbread man bringing back childhood memories, each one carries the spirit of the holidays. For as long as I can remember I have been making 10-20 different kinds of cookies to carefully place in 20-30 boxes that I then delivered in person to all of my friends. Every year all of the time, energy and love baked into each cookie is beyond worth the excited smiles friends of years shine for me on Christmas day when they are finally able to enjoy the well loved tradition.
